What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you load a site. Pixels, tags, and local storage entries can serve similar functions—remembering preferences, keeping sessions secure, or measuring which pages load successfully.
First-party tools are set by us. Third-party tools are set by partners we embed, such as analytics or video hosts, only when you enable the relevant categories.
Types we use
- Strictly necessary: security tokens, load balancing, cart continuity, accessibility preferences, and storage of your cookie consent string. These are required for core functionality and cannot be disabled through our interface without breaking basic features.
- Analytics: help us see aggregated traffic, navigation paths, and error rates. We configure tools to reduce identifying detail where possible.
- Marketing: measure campaign reach or personalise creative when you opt in. We avoid intrusive retargeting categories not disclosed here.
How consent is stored locally
When you choose Accept, Reject, or save custom settings, we write
a JSON record to localStorage under the key
tdde_cookie_prefs_v1. The record includes version,
timestamps, and boolean flags for analytics and marketing.
Strictly necessary processing does not depend on that file, but the banner uses it to avoid asking you on every page load once you have decided.
Duration and refresh
Session cookies expire when you close the browser. Persistent cookies may last between a few days and twenty-four months depending on the vendor. Our consent record persists until you clear site data or withdraw consent through the banner.
If we upgrade the consent schema, we may bump the version number and ask you to confirm choices when a material change requires fresh consent under law.
Managing consent on this site
You can:
- Accept all categories from the first-layer banner.
- Reject optional categories while keeping necessary tools.
- Open detailed settings to toggle analytics and marketing independently.
- Return later via the footer link to adjust preferences.
Browser and device controls
Every major browser lets you delete cookies, block third parties, or block all cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent checkout, forms, or security checks from working. Refer to your browser’s help centre for step-by-step guides.
Updates to this policy
We revise this text when we add tools, change vendors, or respond to regulator guidance. The hero date reflects the latest substantive edit.
